Hello, I'm Brigid Donahue.
My body of work has always been inspired by the beauty and detail of nature. Through the practice of observational and fine art, I aim to translate that natural beauty into the narrative structure of illustration and concept design. Using both physical and digital media I strive to portray the colors, textures, figures, and stories of real and imagined worlds.
I live in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021 with a BFA in Communication Arts and minor in English. These two disciplines have given me a framework to both develop and visually render compelling characters and narratives.
In addition to illustrative art I also enjoy experimenting with craft materials and embroidery projects. I spend my time hiking trails around Virginia, drawing moss and flowers, or staying home with my cats and many house plants.
